Grigsby Vineyard Yountville AVA

Situated just on the edge of the Vaca Range benchland slope, the twenty-one acre Grigsby Vineyard lies just east of the Napa River, bordered by Yountville Cross Road on the south, and Silverado Trail on the east; the delineation between the Stags Leap District and Yountville sub-appellations. The prime piece of land is perfectly suited for Cabernet Sauvignon, with well-drained, fertile soil, and the perfect mix of cool morning weather from the south that reaches mid-valley, coupled with abundant sunshine throughout the day.

Acquired in 1999, the vineyard underwent a partial replant and transformation to improve farming techniques and overall vine health. Certified organic in 2006, the vineyard is meticulously tended by hand and farmed by our own vineyard team, led by Sergio Melgoza since the beginning. Planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc, the vineyard produces fruit rich in color and flavor, with balanced acidity, achieving perfect ripeness every harvest.
